Just what exactly is Pittsburgh Roars...a "Celebration of Events, Attraction and Activities" that focuses on the "innovative and inviting things you can do" in the Pittsburgh region. This collaboration of more then 65 cultural, civic and comminuty organizations encourages people to visit the Pittsburgh are and discover what "a great place Pittsburgh is to work, live in and visit"

Inflatable Images was approached by the Sprout Public Art Foundation with a unique request. The Sprout Fund asked Inflatable Images to create ten giant cold air inflatable works of art selected from the winners of a contest held amongest local Pittsburgh artists. The contest asked artists to design an image that embodied the nature of the Pittsburgh Roars theme. Ten were chosen and the decision was made to consider bringing them to life as inflatables. Inflatable Images, of course, took on the challenge and the rest is histroy.

The winning designs have been traveling from location to location around the city of Pittsburgh this summer to draw attention to the fact that something BIG is going on. The event has been an overwhelming success for not only the Sprout Fund but the City of Pittsburgh as well.
